Getting started

  • We're proudly based near Caledonia & Eglinton in Toronto and provide pet care throughout the surrounding west and central Toronto neighbourhoods. We typically serve pets within approximately 10 minutes of our location for walks and drop-in visits. Any further travelling distance may require an additional travel fee.

    For daycare and boarding services, many families travel from across the city to drop off their pets to us!

  • Absolutely. Before any service begins, we'll take time to learn about your pet's routine, personality, preferences, medical needs, and anything else that helps us provide the best possible care. This can be done by phone, text, video call, or in person (if needed and close by). We want both you and your pet to feel comfortable and confident before their first visit.

  • At MiMo Pet Care, we believe exceptional pet care starts with genuine relationships. Every pet receives personalized attention based on their unique personality, energy level, routine, and comfort needs. With Pet First Aid & CPR certification, animal care education, hands-on experience with dogs of all ages and temperaments, and a commitment to treating every pet like family, our goal is simple: to provide the same level of care and love we would want for our own pets.

Our Care

  • Yes. MiMo Pet Care is Pet First Aid & CPR certified and trained to recognize signs of illness, injury, heat stress, choking, allergic reactions, and other emergencies. While we hope to never need those skills, your pet's safety is always our highest priority. We carry a fully stocked pet first aid kit, tick kit, and will always ensure your pet's safety over everything.

  • Yes. We have experience caring for pets of all ages, from energetic puppies to senior pets who need a slower pace and extra patience. We take time to understand each pet's routine, mobility, medical needs, comfort level, and personality so their care can be tailored specifically to them.

    *There may be an additional puppy fee upon request.

  • Yes. We are comfortable following medication schedules and detailed care instructions. Whether your pet requires daily medication, supplements, special feeding instructions, or extra monitoring, we are happy to discuss their needs before booking.

  • Communication is one of our top priorities. Every pet parent has different preferences, so updates can be tailored to your comfort level. Whether you'd like frequent photos and messages throughout the day or a simple update after each visit, we're happy to accommodate your preferences whenever possible.

    We're also always available to answer questions, calls and FaceTimes during your pet's stay or visit.

  • Many pets need some extra time to build trust, and that's completely okay. We are very understanding! We use a calm, patient, and gentle approach, allowing pets to move at their own pace and become comfortable in a stress-free environment. Building trust is always more important than rushing the process.

  • Every dog is unique, and their safety, comfort, and well-being will always come first. While we welcome dogs of all ages, breeds, sizes, and personalities, not every service is the right fit for every dog.

    We carefully consider each dog's temperament, energy level, social skills, and individual needs when determining which services will provide the best experience. In some cases, we may recommend one-on-one walks, private adventures, or alternative arrangements instead of group activities.

    Our goal is never to exclude a dog — it's to ensure every pet receives the safest, most enjoyable, and most appropriate care possible. We are always happy to discuss your dog's needs and find the best fit for them.

  • To help your pet feel comfortable and settled, we recommend bringing their food, medications (if applicable), and any special care instructions. You're also welcome and encouraged to bring their favourite toys, blanket, bed, or comfort item from home as well as their bowls.

    Our goal is to make your pet's stay as familiar, comfortable, and stress-free as possible.

  • Absolutely! While many of our services focus on dogs, we also provide personalized care for cats. From feeding and fresh water to playtime, companionship, medication administration, and litter box maintenance, every visit is tailored to your cat's unique personality and routine.

Policies

  • We understand that plans can change. We kindly ask for as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule a booking.

    More than 48 hours notice: no cancellation fee.

    Less than 48 hours notice: a cancellation fee may apply.

    Holiday bookings may require additional notice and a fee or deposit.

    This helps us reserve time for other pets and families who may need care.

  • Yes. The health, safety, and well-being of every pet in our care is extremely important to us. We may request proof of up-to-date vaccinations before daycare, boarding, or group activities.

    We also ask that pets be free from contagious illnesses, parasites, fleas, ticks, kennel cough, and any other conditions that could pose a risk to other animals. If your pet becomes ill before a scheduled service, please let us know as soon as possible so we can discuss the safest option for everyone involved. We do require every client to fill out an intake form before our first booking together.

    Our goal is to maintain a safe, healthy, and comfortable environment for every pet in our care.

  • Some pets require additional time, supervision, training reinforcement, or specialized care. Puppies, highly energetic dogs, and dogs with significant behavioural needs may require an additional charge depending on the level of care involved.

    We always discuss pricing upfront before confirming a booking, so there are never any surprises. Our goal is to ensure every pet receives the attention, safety, and individualized care they deserve.

  • We love caring for multi-pet households! Every family and pet dynamic is unique, so pricing will depend on the number of pets, the services requested, and the level of care required.

    Additional pets from the same household are typically eligible for discounted rates compared to booking separate services individually. During your consultation, we'll discuss your pets' needs and provide transparent pricing tailored to your family.

  • Yes. Holiday periods are in high demand and often require us to reserve space well in advance. As a result, an additional holiday rate may apply during major holidays and peak travel periods.

    Any applicable holiday pricing will always be discussed and confirmed before booking, so there are never any surprises.

  • We understand that accidents can happen, especially with puppies, pets adjusting to a new environment, or those experiencing stress or anxiety.

    While normal wear, accidents, and minor cleanups are expected, pets that cause significant property damage, excessive destruction, repeated indoor accidents, or require extensive cleaning and supervision may be subject to additional charges.

    Any concerns will always be communicated openly and discussed with you before additional fees are applied. Our goal is to be fair, transparent, and ensure every pet receives the care and attention they need.

  • Payment is due before the start of all services unless otherwise arranged. For daycare, walks, and drop-in visits, payment is typically collected at the time of booking.

    For boarding and extended bookings, a deposit may be required to secure your reservation. Remaining balances must be paid before the start of the stay.

    We accept e-transfer and other approved payment methods. All pricing, deposits, and fees will be clearly discussed and confirmed before booking.

  • While we do our best to accommodate every request, availability cannot be guaranteed. We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for daycare, boarding, weekends, holidays, and peak travel seasons.
